3. Account Registration & Security

  • Users may need to create an account to access certain features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription, Trial & Pricing

  • Pro Plan: SharpeShare currently offers a Pro subscription for broker-linked portfolio analytics, benchmark comparison, verified sharing/export tools, and connected brokerage account support as described on the Pricing page.
  • Free Trial: We may offer a free trial for new users. Trial length, eligibility, and available features are shown during signup or on the Pricing page.
  • Pricing: Current pricing is shown on the Pricing page and may change from time to time. Any pricing changes will apply according to the terms presented at checkout or renewal.
  • Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and recur until canceled.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription according to the cancellation options made available through the Service or billing portal. Cancellation stops future billing, but access may continue until the end of the current billing period and cancellation does not automatically refund prior charges.
  • Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by SharpeShare.

5. Brokerage, Portfolio & User Data

  • SharpeShare may use brokerage account, transaction, holdings, securities, and related portfolio data provided through third-party integrations such as Plaid.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to connect any brokerage account you link to the Service.
  • SharpeShare uses available data to generate analytics, benchmarks, charts, metrics, and shareable portfolio pages, but we do not guarantee that all data, calculations, or analyses will be complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
  • Public portfolios and share pages are visible to anyone with access to the page and may be indexed by search engines.
  • You are responsible for choosing whether a portfolio is public or private and for reviewing any information before sharing it.

6. Privacy & Data Usage

SharpeShare integrates third-party services such as Plaid for brokerage connectivity, Stripe for billing, and market data providers for security prices, benchmarks, and related market data. Brokerage connections are intended to be read-only. SharpeShare does not place trades, move funds, or provide custody of assets. We are not responsible for errors, delays, outages, or data inaccuracies originating from third-party providers.

7. Connected Account Limitations

  • SharpeShare may not support every brokerage, account type, security type, transaction type, or asset class.
  • Some accounts or assets may be unavailable, partially supported, or excluded from analysis.
  • Analytics may be affected by missing transactions, unsupported assets, corporate actions, provider limitations, delayed data, or account changes.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

  • You agree not to manipulate, misrepresent, or misuse brokerage, portfolio, or performance data.
  • Do not use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, or misleading activities.
  • Hacking, scraping, or disrupting the platform is strictly prohibited.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software on SharpeShare are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any SharpeShare materials without permission.

10. No Financial Advice

SharpeShare is not a financial advisor, broker-dealer, investment adviser, or tax advisor. The Service provides portfolio analytics, benchmark comparisons, charts, metrics, and sharing tools for informational purposes only. Nothing on SharpeShare is investment, trading, tax, legal, or financial advice, and nothing should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any security. Users are responsible for their own investment decisions.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Portfolio analytics, benchmark comparisons, metrics, or calculations will be accurate, complete, current, or profitable.
  • Data loss or security breaches will never occur.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • SharpeShare is not responsible for financial losses resulting from use of the Service.
  • We are not liable for errors, inaccuracies, or system failures.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Account Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • We reserve the right to remove fraudulent or harmful activity.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted by a neutral arbitrator in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), except that either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
