Secure, read-only, and private by default.
Connects to major US brokerages through Plaid.
How SharpeShare handles your connection and data
- Read-only: SharpeShare asks Plaid for investment accounts only, so it can't trade, move money or change anything in your account.
- Plaid shares only the last few characters of each account number with SharpeShare, never the full number.
- You log in to your broker through Plaid, often on the broker's own site; SharpeShare never sees or stores your brokerage password.
- You sign in with Google, so SharpeShare has no password of yours to store.
- The connection token Plaid issues is stored encrypted, and our database is encrypted at rest by our host, Render.
- Every connection to SharpeShare uses HTTPS.
- Plaid, which connects your broker, is independently audited (SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001).
- Payments run on Stripe's checkout page; SharpeShare never sees your card number.
- Your portfolio stays private unless you choose to share it. A shared portfolio never shows your name or email, and SharpeShare doesn't sell your data.
- Numbers come from the broker's own holdings and transactions, not self-reported entries.
